At 11:30 a.m. each day during the week of December 7th, people will gather at the Kennedy Douglass Center for the Arts in Florence for the annual Holly and Ivy uncheons, the perfect way to begin the holiday season.
Greeted by carolers from UNA's SOLAS group, guests will enjoy a cup of cheer and visit in the Arts Center, decorated by Carl Casiday of Lola's Gifts and Flowers. Pianist Christopher-Joel Carter will play Christmas carols to add to the festive atmosphere.
At noon, guests will walk next door to the Southall-Moore Home for a gourmet meal, prepared by Chef Alan Phillips of The Red Clay Epicurean. Holiday music in the Southall-Moore Home will be provided by string musicians from UNA's Department of Music.

The holly and the ivy,
When they are both full grown,
Of all the trees that are in the wood,
The holly bears the crown.
The rising of the sun
And the running of the deer,
The playing of the merry organ,
Sweet singing in the choir.
